At just over a year old, my dog was attacked by an off-lead dog. This left him scared to leave the house, instantly barking as soon as the door opened. Following the attack we had countless amounts of aggressive greetings from other dogs rushing us, and this led him to become dog reactive. Barking, lunging, and crying often ensued.

Taking my dog out for a walk became overwhelming, nervy and quite frankly sad. Seeing an off lead dog running over and having to shout at the top of my voice that ‘my dog isn’t friendly’ or ‘can you call your dog away’ would not only affect my mood, but also be a reactivity trigger.
